Analytical Reflection

As the effective communication module comes to an end, teams selected by peers and teachers presented in the Showcase. This was a platform to showcase the months of work and progress that we have learnt throughout the course. Despite having a panel of judges that are in the work industry, most of us were calm and collected and performed flawlessly in presenting as well as pitching the idea forward.

As a team, we worked on our pitch and pacing together to ensure delivery was proper. We listened and gave comments to improve ourselves. On the presentation day, the whole team was elated at the delivery of the speech and received great comments from judges. A great delivery of speech ensured good and continuous flow of each team member.

One of my strengths was starting off the presentation at a good pace. I brought myself forward and showed confidence and this helped me gain the attention of the crowd. I felt that I made sure that my words were articulated fluently and brought the gist of the solution right at the start. This ensured judges understood the gravity of the situation and how the team came up with a dual digestion system to ultimately increase efficiency in recycling.

With strengths come weaknesses of the presentation as well. The judges pointed out that the information from the slides were difficult to understand. Pointing out that more numbers regarding statics should be shown as well as the fonts applied should be of the same size. Taking these into account, I would strive to produce better results and take note of their advices.
I would like to thank the event committee for the extra step they put in. This event would not have proceeded smoothly without the help of everyone’s participation and contribution.
